In support of conservation and community-led environmental restoration, Menengai Community Forest Association today handed over a 3,000-litre water tank and other support items to the Rescue Team Tree Nursery Group.

This support is part of the CFA’s continued commitment to strengthening community tree nurseries, promoting reafforestation, and empowering local groups that are actively involved in raising seedlings for conservation work. Water is one of the most important needs in nursery development, and this tank will help the group improve seedling care, maintain nursery activities, and support the growth of healthy trees for future planting.

Tree nursery groups play a vital role in the conservation chain. They raise seedlings, protect young plants, support tree planting campaigns, and contribute directly to the restoration of Menengai’s natural environment. By supporting such groups with practical resources, the CFA is helping conservation move from words into action.

The handover was also a moment of reflection and solidarity. Menengai Community Forest Association joined the Rescue Team Tree Nursery Group in mourning the loss of one of their members, Mzee Evans Mureu. His contribution, presence, and commitment to the group will be remembered with respect and gratitude.
