The Menengai CFA
Menengai Community Forest Association is a community-based conservation organization working around Menengai Forest and the Menengai Caldera ecosystem in Nakuru County. Guided by the motto “Conservation for Posterity,” the association exists to protect the forest, promote sustainable use of natural resources, support community livelihoods, and strengthen the relationship between people and nature.
Our work focuses on three key pillars: Tourism, Agriculture, and Community Development. Through eco-tourism activities, sustainable farming initiatives, beekeeping, tree nursery development, environmental education, and community conservation programmes, we help ensure that Menengai remains a source of beauty, livelihood, learning, and environmental resilience.

The Constitution of Kenya, 2010 and the draft policy today is geared towards ensuring that conservation goals are attained with minimum conflicts between the managing institution, communities and other stakeholders involved in safeguarding the interests of the Forest Reserve.

Titus Mugi
Provides overall leadership, guidance, and coordination to ensure the association remains focused on conservation, community empowerment, and sustainable development.
John Macharia
Supports the Chairperson in leadership duties and helps coordinate activities, partnerships, and community engagement for the success of the association.
Joseph Koinange
Keeps official records, supports communication, prepares meeting documentation, and ensures smooth administration within the association.
Naomi Joseph
Assists the Secretary in record keeping, communication, meeting preparation, and documentation to ensure effective administration and smooth coordination.
Tabitha Wandia
Oversees financial records, promotes accountability, and supports responsible management of resources for conservation and community projects.
